Given the ever improving weather here in Colorado, it was time to get my WRX cleaned-up for the summer. I swapped-on some new Summer tires and wheels and decided I should take a few photos. In an attempt to continue to add more Denver area photography to my image collection, I took a walk around Lower Downtown in Denver (Lodo) this past Friday, camera in hand. One place I didn’t really have any photos of was Coors Field, so I snapped a few while I was there. An Afternoon At The Denver Zoo

I left work early yesterday afternoon as we had to pack-up all of our stuff for an office move and couldn’t do any work. The weather was unseasonably warm for Colorado and it seemed like a good day to visit the zoo! Here are a few photos I took while there:

Colorado State Capitol Building

The Colorado State Capitol Building, located at 200 East Colfax Avenue in Denver, Colorado, is the home of the Colorado General Assembly and the offices of the Governor of Colorado and Lieutenant Governor of Colorado. The building is intentionally reminiscent of the United States Capitol. Designed by Elijah E. Myers, it was constructed in the 1890s from Colorado white granite, and opened for use in November 1894. The distinctive gold dome consists of real gold plate, first added in 1908, commemorating the Colorado Gold Rush.

Denver City & County Building Christmas Lights
