2011 Creede Balloon Festival

I recently spent the Labor Day Weekend in Creede, CO. While there, I attended the first annual Creede Hot Air Balloon Festival and took a few photos while there. This was my first time around Hot Air Balloons and I was very impressed!

Global RallyX at PPIR

Yesterday I took the trek from Denver down to Fountain Colorado to watch the Last Chance stage of the 2011 Global Rallycross Championship at Pikes Peak International Raceway. Here are a few selected images from the event.

Also, I was able to capture a series of photos of Tanner Fousts accident during the event.

Sequence Of Tanner Foust Crash at Global RallyX

I attended the Global Rallycross event at Pikes Peak International Raceway (also known as PPIR) earlier today and took some photos while I was there. Luckily there didn’t seem to be a policy to ban people with professional cameras and lenses, so I did my best and captured what I could while enjoying the event. I don’t necessarily have the camera and lens setup to cover auto racing, but I think I did okay with a few of the shots despite that.

In the finals of the AWD class, there was quite a crash at the finish line involving Colorado native, Tanner Foust. Here is a sequence of photos I took of the crash.

Karting At IMI Motorsports

Today I went to IMI Motorsports in Dacono, CO with a group of co-workers to go karting! Unfortunately I was too tall for my suit and I couldn’t bend my legs enough to get into a kart so I wasn’t able to do it. However I took some of my camera gear with me and got plenty of shots of my co-workers having a blast.

2009 Ultimate Music Xperience

The Ultimate Music Xperience (UMX), is an annual, two-day battle of the bands which showcases some of Denver’s best undiscovered musical talent and the freshest emerging bands in the area. Approximately 80 local and solo and group acts will vie for a chance to play at one of the largest musical venues in the state: the 38th Annual CHUN Capitol Hill People’s Fair. The People’s Fair continues to provide an opportunity for homegrown bands to make an impression on the local music scene.

The UMX was again held at Bender’s 13th Ave. Tavern, on March 28 and 29, from 10:00am-6:00pm both days. The UMX is sponsored by Bender’s 13th Ave. Tavern, 99.5 The Mountain, The Onion, Miller Brewing Company and Dog House Music.
