Ellie And Chris are Engaged!

This past weekend I had the opportunity to photograph my long time friend (we’re talking over 14 years!) Ellie and her fiancé Chris for their engagement photos! This shoot had been a long time in the making and it was one we were both looking forward to for quite some time.

We headed up to Lily Lake, near Estes Park, to capture Ellie and Chris among some great Fall colors. We really weren’t sure what the colors would be like but it was the time that we could both do the shoot. Luckily once we made it to Lily Lake the Fall colors were in full swing! 2011 Creede Balloon Festival

I recently spent the Labor Day Weekend in Creede, CO. While there, I attended the first annual Creede Hot Air Balloon Festival and took a few photos while there. This was my first time around Hot Air Balloons and I was very impressed!

Great Sand Dunes National Park

I’m in the middle of a trip to visit my parents for the long Labor Day weekend, and I had the opportunity to time my arrival at the Great Sand Dunes National Park (near Mosca and Alamosa Clorado) when the sunlight would be perfect! Unfortunately I didn’t have enough time to trek out into them, but I still think I captured some good photos of the dunes. I think these are some of my best photos ever, but at the same time, is it possible to take a bad photo of sand dunes?

Photos Of Coors Field In Denver

In an attempt to continue to add more Denver area photography to my image collection, I took a walk around Lower Downtown in Denver (Lodo) this past Friday, camera in hand. One place I didn’t really have any photos of was Coors Field, so I snapped a few while I was there. I’ve looked around for good Coors Field photos and haven’t seen many, so if you are looking for unique Coors Field Photography, you can purchase these images from my Denver collection.

Tulum Beach Cabanas – Mexico Travel Photographer

I recently took a trip to the white sandy beaches of Tulum Mexico to photograph some cabanas at the wonderful Nueva Vida de Ramiro resort. If you’re unfamiliar with Tulum, it’s about an hour South of Cancun and all of the resorts in it’s beach front hotel zone are eco-friendly.

As far as I’m concerned Nueva Vida de Ramiro is one of the best resorts in Tulum and is ran by a great family. I really enjoyed getting to know Trini and the staff at NVR and greatly appreciated all of the help they provided me with the shoot.

Karting At IMI Motorsports

Today I went to IMI Motorsports in Dacono, CO with a group of co-workers to go karting! Unfortunately I was too tall for my suit and I couldn’t bend my legs enough to get into a kart so I wasn’t able to do it. However I took some of my camera gear with me and got plenty of shots of my co-workers having a blast.

Colorado State Capitol Building

The Colorado State Capitol Building, located at 200 East Colfax Avenue in Denver, Colorado, is the home of the Colorado General Assembly and the offices of the Governor of Colorado and Lieutenant Governor of Colorado. The building is intentionally reminiscent of the United States Capitol. Designed by Elijah E. Myers, it was constructed in the 1890s from Colorado white granite, and opened for use in November 1894. The distinctive gold dome consists of real gold plate, first added in 1908, commemorating the Colorado Gold Rush.

Denver Commercial Photographer – New Belgium Brewery Tour

My fiancee and I took a tour of the New Belgium Brewery in Fort Collins, Colorado over the weekend, and I decided to take my camera to capture a few shots while there. Keep in mind these are just casual shots along a tour, nothing I actually did lighting for or had special access to.

The first part of the tour starts off at the bottom floor, under the large tanks which the beer is brewed in. We enjoyed the first of many beer samples, and our tour guide, Dave, gave us some history about the company

We then went upstairs where we could see the tops of the tanks, as well as what they contained. While we were there, they were brewing Ranger, New Belgium’s new IPA.

While upstairs, Dave served us another round of samples. Mmm, tasty!

From there, we headed to the bottling building. There were some good views of the bottling building from the stairs shown here, but the glare from the glass kept me from taking many photos of the bottling area.

We then headed to the private tasting area for a last couple of samples.

On the way out, I got one last photo of my fiancee with the New Belgium Brewery trailer. It was an old-school looking Windstream type trailer, so I decided to process the photo in a way which would accent it.

Denver City & County Building Christmas Lights

Every year, the City and County of Denver decorates the City & County Building for the Christmas Holiday Season. This year was the first year which they used LED Lights.
